Product Description
MK-hBN-SP is a hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) aerosol spray for thin coating of surfaces including hard-to-reach areas. It is described in the brochure as a high-temperature anti-stick release agent and lubricant which bonds to substrates and provides lubricating, electrically insulating and thermally conductive properties.
Safety note: This is an extremely flammable aerosol with reproductive and eye-irritation hazards. Review the SDS before handling, storage, use or shipment.
Product at a Glance
*Brochure-stated hBN material/coating stability reference. Confirm suitability for the actual substrate, process and operating environment.
Key Features
- It applies a thin coating of hBN directly onto surfaces, even in hard-to-reach areas.
- Serves as a high-temperature anti-stick release agent and lubricant.
- The brochure says the coating has good adhesion to the substrates.
- Thermal conductivity and electrical insulation for heat-dissipation applications.
- The coating is called non-wetting and chemically inert in the brochure.
- The brochure says the formulation contains no fluorocarbons or lead.
Typical Applications
Proposed areas of use in the brochure are welding and brazing (weld spatter protection), sintering, plastic and rubber mold release, glass making, molten-metal processing and metal forming, and casting, extrusion, forging and stamping. It is also configured for high-temperature protective release coatings.
